Our services and facilities
Vet Consultations
We offer consultations by appointment at all three surgeries at varying times throughout the day for your convenience. Case continuity is very important to us i.e. whenever possible we will ensure that the same vet deals with any one problem in your pet. This allows your pet’s progress to be monitored accurately and builds a good bond between the vet and both you and your pet. If you would like to see a particular vet please ask when you book your appointment.
Nurse Consultations
Several procedures can be performed by our nursing team. Nurse appointments can be made for nail clipping, microchipping, post-operative checks/suture removal, flea and worm checks, dietary advice/weight checks and advice on any other aspect of preventative pet health care.
Home Visits
If you are unable to attend one of the surgeries or you would rather your pet be seen in the peace and quiet of your own home e.g. for euthanasia, we do offer home visits. Please contact the surgery for more information.

Low Moor Surgery Facilities
All operations and diagnostic procedures are carried out at our main practice in Low Moor. Facilities here include:
Operating theatre - we have a spacious, well-equipped operating room and a wide variety
of surgical instruments. This means we can carry out a vast range of surgical procedures, from
routine neutering to more complex soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery.
Anaesthetic monitoring - we use modern anaesthetic agents and have a wide range of monitoring equipment including a pulse oximeter, capnograph, ECG and blood pressure monitor. These, along with the continuous monitoring by our skilled and experienced nurses, ensures your pet is in safe hands whilst under anaesthesia.
Preparation room - this is where animals are prepared before surgery and is also where dental procedures are performed.
Digital X-ray - our digital processor allows us to view an X-ray of your pet within seconds of it being taken. The images produced are high resolution and more detailed than normal film radiographs, enabling us to pick up even the most subtle abnormality.
In-house laboratory - all routine blood tests (including electrolyte analysis) and many
other tests can be carried out in our practice laboratory. This allows us to see the results
within 15 minutes! Some samples do have to be sent to an external laboratory but our
daily courier collection service means that results are received very rapidly, often the
next day.
Kennel rooms - we have a variety of kennel sizes, ranging from a walk-in dog kennel
for the largest Great Dane to smaller kennels for cats, rabbits and small furries. Dog and
cat kennels are in separate areas so that our feline patients do not get stressed by the
noise that some of our canine patients can make during their stay with us!
We also have an isolation room completely separate from the other kennel rooms
which is dedicated for the hospitalisation of any animal that has a potentially infectious
and contagious disease.
